Sporting activities

Snorkeling
Snorkeling is a great adventure and anyone can do it, even safe activity for children. Some of the best snorkeling in Bali can be found just outside of The Griya, in Lipah Bay. You just swim 10 meters from the beach and the reef is right there! The water is clear with seemingly unwave surface. The whole Amed area has excellent snorkeling just off the black sand beach and further out there is a coral wall with an abundance of sponges and hard and soft corals.
Diving
Diving is one of main attractions of Amed area. The underwater environment of Bali is truly comparable with the well-known dive sites in the world, such as Maldives, Red Sea, Great Barrier Reef, Hawaii, Palau, and Carribean. There are big variety of dive sites located all around in Amed and Tulamben, possible to dive year round, with minimum effect of seasonal changes. Diving Amed is to dive one of the most pristine areas in the world. Every Amed dive is a memorable experience. For sheer exhilaration join us for some blue-water drift dives with the really BIG critters as you drift effortlessly along the world’s renowned vertical walls of Selang Island (Gili Selang) and Bunutan. And don’t forget USAT Liberty shipwreck in Tulamben, which is one of the best (and easiest) wreck dive sites in the world!

Hiking and trekking
The best way to see Bali is to get out and walk. The Balinese themselves don’t like to walk, but for Westerners, it’s the best way to totally immerse yourself in the culture, because the roads are its culture. The wonderful Bali hiking trails will take you across beautiful rice fields, through villages and on the top of the most holy mountains. A thing that isn’t often done and not widely promoted is hiking Mount Seraya or Mount Agung. But it’s possible to reach the summit by yourself. Just east of Jemuluk Bay there is trail that leads you the way. Vegetation is scarce, but if you leave early in the morning you’ll be treated with a nice sunrise. Some of the hikes are for the really fit traveler while others can be done by everyone.
